Day 1: Addis Ababa’s History & Natural Wonders
Your adventure begins in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia’s vibrant capital, where modern culture intertwines with deep-rooted history. As you ascend Entoto Mountain (3,300m), the crisp air carries whispers of Ethiopia’s imperial past. From this breathtaking vantage point, you gaze at the sprawling city below, where tradition and progress coexist.
Descending to the Ethnological Museum, you step into the legacy of Ethiopian rulers, admiring ancient royal garments and artifacts. Later, the National Museum unveils the astonishing remains of Lucy, the 3.2-million-year-old hominid fossil that reshaped our understanding of human origins.
After a visit to the Holy Trinity Cathedral, an Ethiopian Orthodox masterpiece, you begin your 100 km journey to Adama. Rolling hills and vast farmlands line the road as you settle into your hotel, preparing for the wild landscapes ahead.
